This section provides information on the share of translated and original Russian works in the overall volume of civil script publications in the eighteenth century. The category “Translations of Social and Political Works” refers to the texts included in the Corpus of Russian Translations.
The last graphs show data on the role of intermediary languages of translation in the total number of translated books – for all books in civil script before 1800 and separately for publications included in the Corpus of Russian Translations.

To sum up and to corelate / compare the data above (as for the role of intermediary languages): an interactive i.e. clickable (javascript based) sunburst chart is being provided. The Translations (both total and the social-political only) are being subdivided (radially, i.e. from the chart center up into the surrounding circles) into the respektive languages in adequate shares, which in turn may be traced back into the initial languages of the works, providing thus an insight into the translation ways and patterns.
