Rodion Gvozdikovskii

In the 1760s he studied metaphysics, theology and law at Moscow University, and was characterized by one of the professors as follows: "A natural lack of reason is compensated for by his diligence and zeal". He translated from French "Experience of popular education, or a blueprint of sciences" (“Opyt narodnago vospitaniia, ili Chertezh nauk”) by Louis-René de Caradeuc de La Chalotais (1770).
